HDR is seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in our dam, levee and flood resilience programs. HDR is employee-owned and highly ranked in the United States for Dams, Reservoirs and Hydropower. Our dam, levee and flood resilience program is focused on improving resiliency, sustainability, and safety of communities, as dams and flood control systems are updated to adapt to a changing climate and meet growing water needs. HDR engineers are positioned to solve complex water infrastructure problems and may serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders with expertise in dam, levee and flood resilience management. Expertise in potential failure mode analysis is a growing need. Responsibilities

Provide project, geographic and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs. Serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders as appropriate. Apply expertise in potential failure mode analysis to complex dam, levee and flood resilience management projects. Collaborate with HDR leadership to expand locations and enable remote work where feasible. Location and relocation

Geotechnical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Engineering Geologist, hydraulic engineer, or related discipline. Experience with water resources, hydraulics, hydrology, and related tools (e.g., PLAXIS, LPILE, SLOPE, SEEP, APILE, HOEK-REVIEW as applicable, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS). Familiarity with dam and levee safety, seepage and stability analyses, and flood management concepts. Willingness to relocate or consider opportunities across HDR’s locations; remote work options may be available. Company and culture
