Overview
Sr. Financial Analyst role at Komatsu. The Senior Financial Analyst supports the consolidation of corporate budgets and forecasts, partners with leaders across functions, and contributes to the analysis and reporting of monthly results. The role drives process improvements in reporting and analytics while ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and insightful. Responsibilities
Lead core financial planning processes including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis for Corporate functions. Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results. Analyze financial trends and performance, comparing current results to prior periods, outlooks, and the annual plan — including expenses, capital expenditures, and headcount. Explain key financial drivers by analyzing and articulating the causes of significant variances versus plan, forecast, and prior year results. Partner with business unit leaders and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, identify risks and opportunities, and improve decision-making. Prepare consolidated budgets and outlooks for Corporate functions and submit executive-ready reports and presentations to senior management and Komatsu Ltd. Assist in preparing presentations for consolidated KAC Corporate reviews and Management Committee meetings. Support cost center managers and senior leaders by ensuring forecast accuracy and providing financial and accounting guidance. Support capital planning and reporting, including the consolidation of monthly and quarterly CapEx reports and the annual three-year capital plan for Corporate. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency and accuracy through the development and maintenance of robust financial reporting and analysis tools. Maintain and enhance financial models, templates, and planning systems to support efficient consolidation and analysis across Corporate functions. Perform ad hoc financial analysis and project support as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. 4–7 years of corporate finance experience. Knowledge and proficiency in systems, particularly Excel, SAP and BPC. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work across various levels of the organization. Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think independently and make effective decisions. High attention to detail, rigorous controls mindset, and comfort working to deadlines in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment. Additional Information
Hiring Range: The base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role pays $95,700.00. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location. Company Benefits
