Our client, a Los Angeles–based nonprofit dedicated to ending family homelessness, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support their growing Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional who’s looking to combine technical skill with purpose. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and grant tracking, while supporting programs that provide families with housing stability and long-term success. Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices and payments, ensuring proper coding and documentation Maintain accurate general ledger activity, including journal entries and reconciliations Assist with month-end close and financial reporting Record donations, ACH deposits, and contributions in coordination with the Development team Support grant and program accounting, ensuring expenses align with funding allocations Maintain organized digital and physical files to support audits and compliance reviews Assist with budget preparation, agency monitoring visits, and other special projects What You\'ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2+ years of accounting experience (nonprofit preferred) Strong proficiency with Excel and general comfort with accounting systems Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative spirit A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities Compensation
$65,000 - $75,000 a year Benefits
