Base pay range
$14.00/hr - $16.00/hr
Lescombes Family Vineyards is the premier vineyard and winery in the state of New Mexico. Since 1981, we have been leading the industry with an array of wines to include traditional, hand-crafted releases and highly-acclaimed, award-winning favorites. Our current locations consist of our bistro locations: Albuquerque Cottonwood, Albuquerque Old Town, Alamogordo, and Las Cruces; Hervé Wine Bar in Santa Fe; and a tasting room adjacent to the winery in Deming. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Regularly lift approximately 40 to 50 pounds, stacking pallets.
- Ensure stacking is up to standards while keeping up with production.
- Put empty bottles on the packon table quickly to keep pace with the bottling line.
- Clean wine tanks.
- Ensure box labels are placed neatly and correctly on boxes.
- Ensure all bottles are put in the correct cases.
- Monitor bottling line for quality and production specifications.
- Set up hoses for all types of bottling.
- Sanitation of all bottling line equipment.
- Set up both the machine and the gas mixers.
- Operate bottling machinery as needed.
- Perform bubble point on sterile cartilage (still wine).
- Count basic inventory items.
- Set up filtering.
- Maintain quality standards by conducting visual inspections of production lines. Refers questions to the department Manager or Quality Control Associate.
- Work closely with supervisors and winemakers to complete tasks.
- Follow all safety rules for the work area, including wearing any Personal Protective Equipment, i.e. safety glasses, gloves, or other equipment necessary to safely perform the job. Report any safety issues to the department Manager immediately.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Comply with all ASI and OSHA guidelines.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math skills required.
- Experience in a production facility is preferred.
- Must be willing to learn or possess skills in a production environment
- Must have the flexibility to work schedules required by cellar production, including weekends.
- Strong commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a repetitive basis.
- Work standing up and walking on concrete surfaces for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in a cold and wet environment (consistently 60-65 degrees), for 34 months per year 30-40 degrees.
- Ability to climb ladders.
