Winstead is seeking a Recruiting Assistant or Coordinator to join the Recruiting and Integration Team. (The exact title, responsibilities, and compensation will be aligned accordingly based on experience.) The Legal Recruiting Assistant/Coordinator will support all aspects of the firm's attorney recruiting efforts, with a primary emphasis on lateral shareholder and associate recruiting. This role will work closely with the Chief of Recruiting and Integration, Senior Manager-Legal Recruiting, Practice Group Leaders, and Firm Leadership to ensure a smooth and professional recruiting process from initial outreach through onboarding.

The Recruiting Assistant/Coordinator will have primary responsibility for the day-to-day tasks relating to attorney recruitment, onboarding, and integration across all offices.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinate and schedule interviews for lateral shareholder and associate candidates, including complex multi-office interview schedules.
• Ensure efficient tracking of candidates, timely responses to candidates, and relevant information maintained on each candidate.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external recruiters to facilitate the recruitment process.
• Track candidate progress through the recruiting pipeline and maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system.
• Draft and process offer letters, conflicts checks, and related due diligence.
• Liaise with other administrative departments to support lateral hiring onboarding and integration.
• Assist in conducting research on prospective candidates and competitive intelligence for targeted lateral hiring.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third-party recruiters, and ensure execution of and compliance with the firm's placement agreement.
• Establish and maintain relationships with law schools.
• Oversee and manage law student or entry level recruitment, including, if appropriate, any summer clerks.
• Assist in preparing recruiting budgets, tracking expenses, and processing invoices.
• Maintain recruiting statistics and track key metrics and trends.
• Ensure participation in industry surveys and be current on industry trends.
• Assist with attorney integration including organizing and overseeing events.
• Actively serve in NALP and local recruiting organizations.
• Promote the firm's brand internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• A high degree of professionalism and the ability to work well with employees at all levels of the Firm
