Electrical Engineering Technician
Fully Onsite - Fridley, Minnesota
12-month contract (with potential to extend or convert FTE)
**We are seeking Electrical Engineering Technicians to support high-impact development, validation, and production engineering activities within a fast-paced, hands-on medical device and next-generation chip environment. Technicians will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop, verify, and troubleshoot implantable devices, RF/Bluetooth communication systems, and related electronics.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge innovation for implantable technologies, external stimulator systems, and Bluetooth-enabled medical products. These roles will support projects spanning new product introduction (NPI), release product engineering (RPE), and regulatory validation.
Hands-On Electrical & System Testing
Perform soldering, rework, and PCBA debugging.
Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, etc.) for circuit testing and troubleshooting.
Assist with RF communication and Bluetooth-related testing protocols.
Set up and execute system-level validation and functional testing of devices.
Partner with external contract manufacturers and internal R&D teams for test setup and execution.
Project & Tooling Support
Work on tooling projects as ***** building, wiring, setting up, and modifying test tools and hardware.
Participate in the development and validation of next-gen chip technologies used in advanced therapies.
Contribute to the creation and refinement of test protocols and reports to support regulatory filings and internal quality processes.
Primary Projects
Next-Gen Implantable Chip ***** Bluetooth Redesign ***** 2+ years of hands-on experience in electrical/electromechanical technician roles.
~ Strong soldering and rework experience.
~ Familiarity with test ***** oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal analyzers, etc.
~ Experience in RF communications, Bluetooth, or wireless systems testing.
~ Automation experience using LabVIEW or Python.
~ Experience in regulated industries such as medical device, semiconductor, or aerospace.
