Overview
Subject Matter Expert, Asset Integrity - United States. This role is with dss+ and focuses on Asset Integrity within Process Safety Management (PSM) / Operational Risk Management (ORM) transformation programs.
What will you do?
Lead client teams and drive the execution of consulting engagements in integrated Asset Integrity Management as part of a wider process safety management or transformational engagement.
Assess and improve asset integrity management practices across sub-elements (quality assurance, maintenance and reliability strategy, inspection & test, repair, work management, codes and standards, competence management, reliability engineering, root cause analysis, etc.).
Cover equipment classes including static, rotating, safety instrumented functions, pipelines, electrical, etc., and interfaces with other PSM elements (process hazard analysis, management of change, pre-start up safety reviews, incident investigation).
Develop improved asset reliability at client sites and support Work Management practices to enhance Maintenance and Reliability programs.
Communicate progress and outcomes to client stakeholders and identify issues and risks related to delivery activities; liaise with the project team to evaluate solutions and pursue optimal actions.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and operations/maintenance leaders, facilitating decisions on asset integrity outcomes.
Contribute to thought leadership on Asset Integrity methodologies and mentor junior colleagues; participate in networks to share best practices.
Who are you? You are a recognised Subject Matter Expert in Asset Integrity with extensive experience applying process safety principles in operational environments.
Leadership experience in asset integrity/maintenance and reliability roles on operating industrial plants, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, or metal processing.
Experience developing procedures to define key system requirements, analysis, problem solving, governance mechanisms, and KPIs to monitor Asset Integrity Management across sub-elements.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams; effective leadership to drive execution in complex environments.
Knowledge of Recognised and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) such as ASME, API, NACE, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical is advantageous) or equivalent (MSc or MBA preferred).
12+ years of experience in asset integrity, maintenance or engineering.
Fluent in English; additional languages a plus.
Willingness to travel extensively.
