Annual Bonus Position Summary
The Senior Vice President of Business Banking is a key member of the bank’s team responsible for driving growth and profitability within the commercial and business banking portfolio. This individual will lead business development efforts, build strong client relationships, and provide strategic direction to ensure the bank continues to serve the needs of its business customers and local communities. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies to grow the bank’s commercial and business banking portfolio. Source, structure, and manage new commercial relationships across a variety of industries, including C&I, CRE, and small business clients. Maintain a strong community presence by participating in local networking events, community organizations, and business associations. Collaborate with credit, treasury management, and retail teams to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients. Monitor portfolio performance and ensure sound credit quality through ongoing relationship management and risk assessment. Lead, mentor, and support business banking officers and relationship managers to achieve production goals and professional growth. Partner with senior management to develop annual goals, pricing strategies, and market initiatives. Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, bank policies, and sound banking practices. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive commercial or business banking experience Proven track record of originating and managing business banking relationships with consistent portfolio growth and strong credit quality. Strong business development skills with the ability to build and sustain relationships in the local market. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. In-depth knowledge of commercial credit, loan structuring, and financial analysis. Details
