Overview
Bakery Manager (Afternoon/Evening Shift) oversees all aspects of afternoon and evening bakery operations, ensuring recipes are followed, products meet Tatte specifications, and evening deliveries are on time and compliant with standards. Supports bakery leadership with customer service, partnerships to bakery clients, achieving company initiatives, food safety, and adherence to Tatte policies and applicable regulations. Exemplifies Tatte core values in all team actions. Summary Of Responsibilities
Ensures consistent and quality products per Tatte specifications Creates and posts timely and accurate team member schedules Directs the Afternoon/Evening bakery team to execute production and non-production tasks efficiently, effectively, and safely Assumes responsibility for the quality control process in proofing, baking, finishing, picking, and packaging all goods Ensures compliance with safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols and standards throughout the premises, including GMPs Staffs, onboards, manages, develops, and maintains accountability protocols for all bakery team members; prioritizes safety and well-being Collaborates with General Manager and bakery leadership on operational planning, labor, and waste management Oversees afternoon deliveries in partnership with the Logistics Manager Participates in management meetings to communicate product and operational information Maintains strong relationships with Tatte managers, supervisors, and support teams Promotes and models Tatte mission and values, diversity, inclusion, equity & belonging, and policy adherence Understands and follows crisis management procedures Other duties as assigned Working Conditions / Essential Functions
Able to stand 10 hours per shift/day, 5 days per week (average 50 hours) Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds Must be available to work 1pm – 11pm shift during the week and weekend, and holidays as needed Position Requirements
Minimum 1-2 years of managerial experience overseeing a team of 20+ employees (preferably in a food manufacturing or high-volume production facility) Ability or willingness to learn bakery manufacturing equipment (deck ovens, proofers, rack ovens, fryers, etc.) Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume production bakery Ability to direct and manage a team with kind and empathetic leadership Excellent communication and time management skills Positive, can-do attitude Other Preferred Skills
1-3 years of experience in baking or a food manufacturing environment Prior managerial experience in a high-volume production facility Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices Experience building and mentoring high-performance teams Spanish language skills are strongly preferred Benefits And Perks
