Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory) – California Commission on Aging Position: Legislative and Policy Manager - Hybrid Option. Working Title: Legislative and Policy Manager - Hybrid Option. Job Code: JC-487107. Position #(s): 316-001-4801-001. Employment type: Permanent, Full Time. Location: Sacramento, CA (headquartered in Sacramento). Salary
Base pay range: $7,872.00 - $9,781.00 per month. Note: New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. As of PLP 2025, there is a 3 percent reduction in pay in exchange for 5 hours PLP 2025 leave credits monthly; the salary range shown does not reflect this reduction. Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Executive Director within the California Commission on Aging, the Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory) serves as the Commission’s Legislative and Policy Manager. Responsibilities include: Supervising a team of professional analysts. Managing legislative activities, operational functions, and administrative operations. Serving as a key policy advisor to the Executive Director and advising the Governor and Legislature, along with State, federal, and local agencies on programs and services affecting older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers. Exercising a high degree of independence and decision-making within established guidelines. Qualifications and Requirements
