Overview
Reports To: Financial Controller / Director of Finance We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Open Health Care’s financial operations. This role plays a key part in leading the month-end close process, preparing GAAP-compliant financial statements, and strengthening the company’s internal control environment. Ideal candidates will bring strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience from a Big 4 public accounting firm, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare setting. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Lead critical components of the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. Perform and review complex general ledger account reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and ensuring accurate reporting. Leverage Big 4 audit experience to enhance internal control frameworks and drive readiness for external audits. Support external audit requirements by preparing audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit inquiries. Ensure compliance with accounting policies, tax regulations, and internal financial procedures. Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and ensure alignment between business activities and financial reporting. Drive improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and scalability. Assist in implementation of new accounting standards and corporate policies. Contribute to special projects and ad hoc analyses as needed by management. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA preferred, or actively pursuing certification. Minimum 2-3 years of public accounting experience, ideally with a Big 4 firm. Prior industry experience in healthcare or related sector a plus. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices. Proficiency with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to interpret and communicate financial data clearly. Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally. High level of accountability, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Details
