Applicants selected must have a DC 3rd Steam Engineer License / Stationary Engineer's License. Responsibilities

The Stationary Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing and maintaining all stationary equipment within the facility, ensuring its optimal operation and safety. This includes routine check-ups, troubleshooting, and efficient repair methods. Maintenance and Operation:

Safely operate, maintain, and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other stationary equipment. Must have experience with commercial-industrial building equipment including chillers (+500 tons), boilers, pumps, control systems, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, VAVs, and VFDs. Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and specifications; knowledge of building air systems; respond to service calls for gas-fired boilers, chillers, AHUs, fire pumps, generators, UPS, ATS, BAS, and Fire Alarm operations. Routine Inspections:

Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues, ensuring equipment operates within parameters and safety standards. Duties:

Respond to service calls, determine problems, implement solutions, and complete required documentation in the site CMMS. Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts; adjust controls for safe and efficient operation and maintain logs. Perform preventive maintenance per site plans and company standards. Troubleshooting:

Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements; ensure operations are logged and compliant with standards. Compliance:

Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and standards for stationary equipment operations. Collaboration:

Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams for seamless operation and timely issue resolution. Emergency Response:

Act as a first responder during stationary equipment emergencies, following safety procedures. Continuous Learning:

Stay updated with trends, equipment, and best practices; attend workshops and trainings as necessary. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED with 8+ years of facilities maintenance experience. DC 3rd Steam Engineer License / Stationary Engineer's License. Applicants subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ability to obtain and maintain HSPD & Secret, preferred HSPD-12 & Secret Active. Candidate Expectations

Familiarity with operations, maintenance, and repair of boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, etc. Strong problem-solving and communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including sequences of operations and specifications. Knowledge of building mechanical and electrical equipment functions and HVAC control applications. Benefits

Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 50 pounds, load/unload, operate equipment, and transport materials; proper lifting techniques and safety protocols. Climb and work at heights up to 60 feet, including ladders and scaffolds; move and handle objects as needed. Vision and hearing requirements; ability to communicate in English. General problem recognition and ability to apply common-sense reasoning to operational issues. Pay Range USD $41.69 - USD $62.53 / Hr.
