We are supporting a growing renewable energy firm in their search for an experienced Global Commodity Manager to lead procurement and supply chain initiatives for battery components in their Battery Energy Storage Systems. This role will be responsible for supplier strategy, contract management, sourcing execution, and risk mitigation to support their rapid growth. Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Develop and execute sourcing strategies that align with long-term business goals. Manage RFP processes and supplier selection to optimize cost, quality, and performance. Establish and refine KPIs to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce total cost of ownership. Create a strategic roadmap for sourcing medium voltage transformers. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and innovation. Lead supplier performance reviews and implement improvement initiatives. Develop strategies to enhance supplier reliability and accountability. Note:

Oversee Master Supply Agreements to ensure alignment with cost, quality, and service objectives. Manage contract lifecycles, enforce obligations, and lead renewal or termination decisions. Procurement Execution

Lead end-to-end procurement processes from requisition to PO issuance and delivery. Facilitate weekly meetings with strategic suppliers to ensure cross-functional alignment and project execution. Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier stability, geopolitical factors, and quality assurance. Maintain relationships with alternative suppliers to ensure continuity in case of disruptions. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or commodity management. Strong background in battery systems or related technologies. Proven expertise in supplier negotiation, contract management, and cross-functional collaboration. Proficiency in supply chain software and data analytics tools. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience mentoring high-performing teams. Established network within the renewable energy sector is highly desirable. Strategic Thinking: Ability to align procurement strategies with business growth and cost goals. Relationship Management: Skilled at managing complex supplier and stakeholder relationships. Risk Assessment: Proficient in identifying and mitigating supply chain vulnerabilities. Process Improvement: Committed to driving innovation and continuous improvement in supply chain practices. Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
