Responsibilities
- Manage Guest Request Log: review daily and proactively address problems before they occur.
- VIP Management: monitor VIP guests and requests.
- Oversee Housekeeping Team: conduct daily stand-up to review objectives and prepare checklists in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Room Inspection: ensure quality and cleanliness of all guest rooms and public spaces when the Executive Housekeeper is unavailable.
- Storage Rooms: maintain organization and cleanliness of storage, mechanical rooms, closets and laundry areas.
- Pre-Cleaning Duties: stock guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linen for carts.
- Trash and Linen Removal: replace bed linens and replenish guest room supplies.
- Deep Cleaning: perform deep cleaning activities with maintenance as needed.
- Departmental Meetings: conduct daily meetings in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
- Supply Management: maintain stock of housekeeping and laundry supplies; order as needed.
- Inventory: conduct monthly/quarterly inventories.
- Maintenance Requests: monitor work orders and follow up to ensure completion.
- Status Reports: balance and clear room status nightly and resolve discrepancies.
- Lost and Found: manage procedures and policies.
- Chemical Safety: ensure proper use of hazardous chemicals per OSHA standards.
- Key Control: maintain a key control system for the department.
Success Metrics
- Happy Guests: Management Performance Ratings; Guest Satisfaction Scores/Intent to Return.
- Spotless Cleanliness: GM/AGM spot checks; Leadership Walk-throughs; Guest Ratings/Reviews.
- Product Consistency & Quality: Checklist Tracking; Management Performance Ratings; Guest Ratings.
- Teamwork: Management Performance Ratings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in hospitality, service, consumer-facing field; supervisory experience preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn (Can-Do Attitude).
- Ability to follow guidelines; handle pace and pressure.
- Effective listening, conflict resolution, and clear communication.
- Hospitality and guest service orientation.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays; willingness to travel as needed by hotel demands.
- Reliability in clocking in/out and breaks; no on-the-clock work; proper break timing.
