Specialty Outpatient Cardiac EP – Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Piedmont Heart North Corridor. Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in Atlanta, is recruiting for a full-time Cardiac Electrophysiology APP to join our Electrophysiology Clinics in the North corridor with locations predominantly in Jasper, Canton and Ellijay, with occasional Blairsville clinics. This is a full-time outpatient position, Monday through Friday only. No hospital coverage. We are seeking knowledgeable, highly motivated, and dedicated APPs who have a strong desire to work in an autonomous yet collaborative environment. Responsibilities

Provide high-quality patient assessment and management under indirect physician supervision, in accordance with federal and state regulations, practicing evidence-based medicine. Travel to clinic sites predominantly in Jasper, Canton and Ellijay, with occasional clinics in Blairsville. Manage patient care by coordinating clinic visits with the respective electrophysiologist assigned to each clinic. Provide autonomous direct patient care in designated outpatient clinics with indirect electrophysiologist supervision as needed. Order and schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as part of direct patient care services. Participate in trials and undergo appropriate training; manage patients in trials with the respective electrophysiologist. Work 40 hours per week (option for four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days with administrative time built into the schedule; MA support provided). Travel to Piedmont Atlanta for training as required. Participate in training of APPs and nurses. Demonstrate teamwork by communicating effectively and collaborating with all members of the health care team, including multiple electrophysiologists. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program Board Certified Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Current license from the Georgia State Composite Board BLS / ACLS certification Minimum 2 years of general cardiology or 1 year of prior EP experience
