Research Technician 3

— The Center for Functional and Molecular Imaging (CFMI) is actively developing a research program utilizing a number of imaging techniques. This position will involve working with investigators on extending current fMRI acquisition and analysis techniques as well as carrying out research. The role has two principal components: operating the 3.0T MRI scanner and carrying out the research studies underway in the lab. Responsibilities

Operate the MRI scanner for a variety of research studies after training, ensuring the safety of those being scanned and communicating MR safety to users. Assist in the execution of neuroimaging experiments, manage data transfer, provide technical troubleshooting, and perform analysis and quality control of data collected for various projects. Contribute to the research studies with unsupervised collection of MRI data, data organization, processing, analysis, and assist with data interpretation including manuscript preparation. Implement quality control procedures with strong technical skills. Work Interactions

The success of CFMI depends on the ability to operate the MRI scanner, collaborate with researchers from other labs, assist them when problems arise, and ensure a broad range of participants feel comfortable. This requires a combination of highly technical and inter-personal skills. Requirements and Qualifications

B.A. or equivalent degree in relevant fields such as psychology, neuroscience, computer science, or biomedical engineering One year of experience working in a research lab is preferred Work Mode Designation

Pay Range:
