Project Architect - Water Resource Recovery Market at Jacobs. This role focuses on Water Resource Recovery (Water/Wastewater Treatment) facilities design and water/wastewater conveyance facilities design, with potential work across other building typologies. Local candidates in Ohio, Michigan, or Indiana are preferred. Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the overall design intent of the project established by the Design Manager is incorporated into the detailed documentation Monitors the design process from the conceptual phase through construction administration, ensuring the design is properly conveyed and executed Writes and/or collaborates with the project specification writer to develop architectural specifications and coordinates drawings and specifications Checks completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for accuracy Leads the architectural discipline strategy for producing documents, defines data organization within files, and determines which elements are included in a Building Information Model and final construction drawings Coordinates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to ensure incorporation of information into project requirements and provides support as necessary Ensures that construction detail documentation conforms to Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards and Jacobs best practices Prepares technical drawings and details Meets with municipal building departments and other governing agencies to coordinate approvals Writes technical reports and memos for client-based project work Attends on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings; coordinates review and responses for contractor submittals (shop drawings, RFIs, material samples) Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and other discipline group designers that affect the project design Incorporates Integrated Sustainable Design solutions into projects Fosters client service and business development through project delivery responsibilities Develops and grows personal reputation within Jacobs across disciplines, offices, and performance units Creates and maintains internal and external client relationships to secure invitations to future project opportunities What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited architectural program (or foreign equivalent) Licensed Architect or on track to attain a license within the United States with ability to obtain reciprocity in Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Architectural Design with a preference in public works infrastructure Self-motivated with ability to work collaboratively and independently in a hybrid work environment, with adaptability to changing deadlines Ability to lead and collaborate with design teams across disciplines Strong knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and green building/green infrastructure certifications Thorough knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and familiarity with project delivery methodologies Proficiency with building codes and standards (IBC, NFPA, OSHA), technical report writing, and specifications Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft O365 Suite Ability to travel to local project sites; some regional travel may be required Ideally you’ll also have

Prior experience with Water Resource Recovery facilities or similar industrial uses Proficiency in Enscape, Photoshop, and other graphics/rendering software Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu Familiarity with sustainable design software analysis tools and current/next-generation software and programming (Dynamo, etc.) LEED AP and/or ENV SP credentials Understanding of coatings, compatibility, and basic corrosion mitigation strategies Experience designing around chemical storage and feed buildings Compensation

Base pay range: $110,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Jacobs and may vary based on skills and experience. Actual pay will be discussed with your recruiter. Posted Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 Benefits and work model
