Project Architect - Water Resource Recovery Market at Jacobs. Local in Ohio, Michigan, or Indiana preferred. Hybrid work option available (up to 3 days from home per week, with minimum 2 days in a Jacobs location). Responsibilities

Ensure the overall design intent of the project, as established by the Design Manager, is incorporated into detailed documentation. Monitor the design process from conceptual phase through construction administration to ensure design is properly conveyed and executed. Develop architectural specifications (or collaborate with the project specification writer) and coordinate drawings and specifications. Check reports, plans, estimates, and calculations for accuracy. Lead the architectural discipline strategy for producing documents, including data organization for BIM and final construction drawings. Coordinate with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to incorporate information into project requirements; provide staff supervision for document production. Ensure construction detail documentation conforms to QA/QC and Jacobs standards. Prepare technical drawings and details; coordinate with municipal building departments and other officials for approvals. Write technical reports and memos; attend on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings; coordinate shop drawings, RFIs, and material samples. Review drawings from vendors, clients, and other designers affecting project design. Incorporate Integrated Sustainable Design solutions; support client service and business development through project delivery responsibilities. Develop and grow your personal brand within Jacobs across disciplines, offices, and performance units; build internal and external client relationships for future opportunities. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program (or foreign equivalent). Licensed Architect or pursuing licensure with ability to obtain reciprocity in OH, MI, and IN. Minimum 10 years of relevant architectural design experience, with preference for public works/infrastructure. Hybrid work adaptability; ability to lead and collaborate with design teams across local and remote locations. Strong knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness. Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and green building/green infrastructure certifications. Thorough knowledge of BIM and familiarity with delivery methodologies (e.g., design-bid-build, design-for-design-build, design-build). Proficiency with building codes and standards (IBC, NFPA, OSHA); strong technical report writing and specifications. Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft O365 Suite. Ability to travel to local project sites and some regional locations. Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience with Water Resource Recovery facilities or similar industrial uses. Proficiency in Enscape, Photoshop, and other graphics/rendering software. Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu. Familiarity with sustainable design software and analysis tools; experience with Dynamo and data analytics. LEED AP and/or ENV SP credentials. Understanding of coatings, corrosion mitigation, and design for chemical storage and feed buildings. Benefits and Compensation

The base salary range is $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year, determined by location and qualifications.
