HDR is highly ranked in the United States by ENR for Dams and Reservoirs and in Hydropower. Our globally coordinated, locally delivered dam, levee and flood resilience program is committed to improving the resiliency, sustainability, and safety of our communities. Our nation’s dams, levees and flood control systems are being upgraded and rebuilt to adapt to a changing climate, provide more efficient renewable power and meet growing water needs. HDR engineers are leading the way to solve our toughest water infrastructure problems.
Responsibilities
Provide project, geographic and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs.
Serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders with expertise in complex dam, levee and flood resilience management projects.
Apply expertise in potential failure mode analysis as a growing need.
Coordinate relocation or opportunities near you; HDR has over 200 locations in the United States and is exploring expansion into new locations and remote working.
Qualifications
Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, Geotechnical Engineer or Hydraulic Engineer.
Experience as engineers of record and leadership roles on dam, levee and flood resilience projects.
Expertise in potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) and related analyses.
Knowledge of dam safety, levee safety, flood management, FEMA, PFMA concepts and related software (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PLAXIS, SLOPE, SEEP, APILE, LPILE, DAM safety).
Willingness to relocate or be contacted about opportunities near you.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work across multiple locations and teams.
