is seeking qualified individuals to provide project, geographic and technical leadership in our dam, levee and flood resilience programs.

Our nation’s dams, levees and flood control systems are being upgraded and rebuilt to adapt to a changing climate, provide more efficient renewable power and meet growing water needs.

Responsibilities

Provide project, geographic and technical leadership in HDR’s dam, levee and flood resilience programs.

Serve as engineers of record, group managers and technical practice leaders on complex dam, levee and flood resilience management projects.

Develop and apply expertise in potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) as a growing need within projects.

Collaborate with HDR leadership teams across locations and with clients to deliver resilient, sustainable solutions.

Be willing to relocate or be contacted about opportunities near you; HDR has over 200 locations in the United States and supports expansion into new locations and remote working.

Qualifications

Civil, structural, geotechnical or hydraulic engineers with experience in dam, levee and flood resilience projects.

Expertise or interest in potential failure mode analysis (PFMA) and related stability or seepage analyses is a plus.

Experience as engineer of record or in a leadership/technical role on complex water infrastructure projects.

Ability to work across multiple HDR locations and remote teams; willingness to relocate or be contacted about opportunities near you.

Familiarity with hydraulic/structural software tools such as PLAXIS, SLOPE, SEEP, APILE, LPILE, GROUP, SETTLE3D, SHAKE, FEMA, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and related analysis tools.
