Job Title: Specialist, IT Infrastructure
Job Summary:
The Specialist, IT Infrastructure - Network Support will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the site's operating environment, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance and security of the infrastructure. Responsibilities: Monitor and upkeep the operating environments Respond to incidents & problems Plan for growth, deployment of new technologies Design, install, configure, maintain and perform testing of PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware Troubleshoot problems as reported by users Support Web access and telephony services Acquisition, replacement and decommissioning of related equipment, software and services Detailed Responsibilities: Participates in the development of an effective network design and strategy Provide technical support and perform maintenance Provides technical guidance to customers and departmental staff on network issues Perform service monitoring and reporting, with a focus on risk management and compliance Explore new solutions, enhancements and opportunities for continuous improvement, projects and more Provides network troubleshooting and effective solutions to network problems while minimizing downtime Installing and configuring network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks Lead projects and change management initiatives Manages external service providers and vendors Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Internet Proxy to ensure secure and optimized internet access Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VPN to enable secure remote connectivity to internal resources Administer and manage application control policies, application controls, and endpoint security configurations to strengthen cybersecurity posture Requirements: Strong customer service orientation Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills Good communication (both oral and written) and documentation skills Good leadership and teamwork skills Negotiation and conflict resolution skills Good ability to plan projects and tasks Good understanding of IT requirements for an end to end solution, including security, business continuity, disaster recovery, risk analysis and preparing business cases In-depth knowledge of the Windows OS (server and client) and the desktop operating environment Fundamental knowledge of networking concepts Fundamental knowledge of ITIL 4 Foundation Advanced knowledge of infrastructure service management & diagnostic tools and processes Advanced knowledge of end-point security management tools and processes Experience handling network security issues (viruses, malware, social engineering) Understanding of IT Infrastructure asset lifecycle management Plus: Understanding of NIST CSF and 800-171 Typical Experience and Education: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in a similar role or industry. Bachelor's Degree in related field. Vendor Certifications preferred: CompTIA Security+ or Network+, CheckPoint or FortiGate Firewall, Cisco CCNA or CCNP, Fortinet Certified Professional or Solution Specialist.
