Overview

Job Developer at Jay Nolan Community Services. Reports to the Department of Rehabilitation Services Supervisor and works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to conduct Pre-Employment, Employment Preparation, Job Development, Placement and follow-up support as needed. Essential Responsibilities

Provide consumer analysis of core areas of strengths and barriers to employment: social skills, soft skills, cognitive functioning and work activities. Offer sound recommendations for employment planning and services. Procure community situational assessment sites based on consumer employment goals. Provide support at job interviews between consumers and employers. Attend employee-training seminars at job sites as needed, conducting job analysis for tasks once a consumer starts. Develop job duty analyses including hourly/daily/weekly task schedules, task breakdowns, and analysis of social and performance skills needed in typical work situations. Provide professional mentorship while individuals choose, obtain and retain employment, focusing activities on identified strengths, abilities, interests, resources, capacities, and informed choice. Develop and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives related to integrated community activities and job placements for consumers’ Individual Support Plan (IPP) or Individual Habilitation Consumer Plan (IHSP). Identify community resources and contacts to facilitate integrated community-based training around the job site. Contract and develop integrated community job placements individualized to match the strengths and job parameters of the person. Help organize and monitor a data recording system to reflect progress of Employment Services for individuals with severe disabilities. Meet regularly with intra-agency Employment teams, Regional Center (if applicable) and Department of Rehabilitation representatives to discuss potential referrals and job leads. Contact employers regularly to review trainee performance, assistance, and needs as part of ongoing support. Provide on-site job coaching to facilitate positive working relationships with co-workers, management, and the public. Accurately document all hours spent with the consumer in detailed progress reports. Report all incidents relating to health and safety of the consumer to the Department of Rehabilitation Services Supervisor and document properly. Carry out other duties as requested by the Supported Employment Manager and Director of Program. Minimum Qualifications

Some college; Bachelor's degree preferred. Combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Reliable transportation and valid insurance. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Access to employment websites and other resources. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively. Ability to use smartphone for ADP, and maintain consistent contact with consumers and vendors. Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation and interpersonal skills. Ability to work remotely with a company computer, using email, texting, phone, and the Soneto database. Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures. Ability to be an effective team member. Understanding of organizational culture and values. Expectations

Weekly workload review and coaching allocation. Monthly case review with Supervisor. Two placements per month. Timely submission of monthly paperwork. Incentive

$50.00 Bonus at time of retention for all placements. Work Environment
