The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) aims to ensure children are financially supported by both parents by locating non-custodial parents, establishing paternity and child support orders, and collecting and disbursing child support funds. OCSS also partners with community organizations to assist unemployed or underemployed non-custodial parents through education, training, and job placement services, helping families gain financial independence. The Borough Offices serve as the entry point for custodial parents applying for cash assistance, automatically referring them for child support services. Cases are referred to family court when non-custodial parent details are known, to establish legal support orders or paternity. Under supervision of the Office Manager, the Clerical Associate III functions as the Borough Office Clerical Supervisor, overseeing clerical staff involved in support functions. The role involves supervising and scheduling clerical support staff, utilizing various systems (FRED, NYCWAY, ASSETS, WMS, ECFS, CS TRACK), handling client inquiries, managing documents, compiling reports, training staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring office supplies are stocked. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of satisfactory clerical experience. Skills:
