Overview
Software Design and Analysis Engineer (Experienced or Lead) at Boeing via Dice. Location: Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. Role supports software development for electro-optical systems as part of the Starfire Optical Range project within Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS). Position Responsibilities
Develop and maintain code with integration of software components into a fully functional system. Assist with test procedures and documentation of test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Gather information to support software project management. Document deployed processes and tools and collect metrics. Support software research and development projects. Troubleshoots basic software issues. Develop architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms. Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 3+ years of experience with procedural or object-oriented software development (C, C++, Python, or Java) 3+ years of experience with writing software for low level device interface control as well as GUI applications 3+ years of experience with developing software for Windows and Linux Willingness to work variable shifts, including day, evening, night and weekends Preferred Qualifications
6+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience 1+ years of coursework and/or experience in programming with LabVIEW Experience developing network communication applications Experience developing imaging sensor applications Experience with development, test and evaluation of hardware and software for electro-mechanical/optical control systems Experience with telescopes and adaptive optics Active U.S. Top Secret Clearance Job Details
