Overview
A well-established technology consulting firm in Philadelphia is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer for a hybrid position supporting a mix of public and private sector clients. This is a full-time opportunity focusing on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments, automation, virtualization, and secure system design. Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of professional experience with Linux systems administration (preferably Red Hat/CentOS/Rocky) Strong knowledge of Bash scripting and automation tooling Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet Familiarity with VMware or other virtualization platforms Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSH, firewalls) Comfortable working onsite in Philly 2–3 days per week Desired Skills & Experience
Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE) Experience with CI/CD pipelines or tools like GitLab/GitHub Actions Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or OpenStack Security hardening and compliance experience (DISA STIGs, CIS benchmarks) Python or Perl scripting is a plus What You Will Be Doing
