Overview

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for tenure-track faculty position(s). Possible ranks include Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor. The CSE Department seeks to attract, develop, and retain excellent faculty members with strong records and future promise. The Department aims to fill a tenure-track position in any area of computer science, with particular interest in computer vision, software systems for robotics, and quantum computing. Outstanding candidates in other areas of computer science and engineering may also be considered. The Department offers Ph.D., MS, and undergraduate degrees. Responsibilities

Perform research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and pursue external funding. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and advise graduate students. Engage in service activities within the Department, the University, and the profession. Lead highly visible research projects and contribute to the academic mission of Notre Dame. Qualifications

Candidates at the entry level must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. degree or have completed all but the dissertation in computer science or a related discipline with degree expected by August 1, 2026. Candidates at the advanced assistant, associate, or full professor level must have a Ph.D. in computer science or a related discipline. Application Instructions
