Overview

The IT, Analytics, and Operations (ITAO) Department at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business announces an open rank tenured/tenure track position. The candidates must have a PhD in Operations Management, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Social Sciences, or a related field. Responsibilities

Carry out research, teaching, and service; teaching load is 9 credit hours per year; salary and research budget are highly competitive, with generous summer support based on research productivity. Contribute to a vibrant research environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments and labs including HOPE (Humanitarian Operations Lab), HAL (Human-centered Analytics Lab), GAMA (Gaming Analytics Lab), and the OPS Lab (Operations and Platforms for Sustainability). Engage in interdisciplinary opportunities, including possible affiliate status in other departments (e.g., CS or Statistics) or with the Lucy Family Institute for Data and Society. Participate in the department’s activities related to analytics, information systems, operations management, and related areas, with potential teaching and research aligned to business applications. Qualifications

Entry-level candidates must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. or have completed all but dissertation in Operations Management, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Social Sciences, or a related field with degree expected by July 1, 2026. Advanced-level candidates (assistant, associate, or full professor) must have a Ph.D. in Operations Management, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Social Sciences, or a related field.
