$150,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr What you’ll do

As a Senior Ports Civil Engineer, you’ll lead the planning, design, and coordination of stormwater drainage infrastructure, utilities, grading, paving, and site layout of upland facilities needed to support various types of maritime infrastructure—from container terminals to cruise terminals to waterfront parks. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver complex projects across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. You may assist in or lead technical input on proposals and participate in interviews and presentations. You will help grow and pursue what fulfills you so that we can make impacts on the future—big and small, local and global. You will play a key role in the growth of Jacobs’ Ports and Maritime practice in the US East and beyond. Responsibilities

Lead the planning, design, and coordination of stormwater drainage infrastructure, utilities, grading, paving, and site layout for upland facilities supporting maritime infrastructure Collaborate with engineers, planners, architects, and scientists on complex projects from planning through construction Contribute to proposals and participate in interviews and presentations Support the growth of the Ports and Maritime practice in the US East and beyond Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or related Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) License Substantial experience in the design of utilities, drainage, grading, or paving at port facilities or other site developments Experience in design and design management of waterfront projects and facilities Proficiency with AutoDesk Civil3D for site development projects Ability to work with local and remote multi-disciplinary teams to deliver projects and proposals Ability to manage the delivery of contract documents, design bases, technical specifications, and other client deliverables Experience contributing to technical and cost proposals Good communication skills to interface with clients and stakeholders Ideally you’ll also have

Master’s degree in Engineering PE in NY/NJ/PA Experience planning or designing civil and utilities infrastructure at container, cruise, liquid bulk, or dry bulk terminals Experience in layout and design of container yards and gate facilities Experience in the design and/or construction of heavy-duty pavements Existing client relationships with port authorities or waterfront project developers Employment details
