What We Can Achieve Together The Caribbean Development Lead (CDL) is responsible for directing all aspects of Caribbean Division’s development functions to secure significant financial resources from individuals, foundations, and corporations to support urgent conservation goals. The CDL identifies key challenges, develops and synthesizes plans of action, and delivers targeted outcomes. The CDL also recruits, develops, and retains high-performing frontline development staff and fosters collaboration with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team providing development operations support. The CDL reports to the Director of Regional Strategic Development within Global Development, with a dotted line to the Executive Director of the Caribbean Division; they serve on the Caribbean Division's leadership team. What You’ll Do Direct a strategic, integrated, and collaborative approach to development to maximize success, including organizing communications and facilitating strategic dialogues with clients and senior-level stakeholders. Identify issues and requirements, negotiate solutions, and synthesize action plans tailored to the audience. Lead diverse activities, develop complex practices and processes, project outcomes, and initiate changes to improve effectiveness. Manage priority vendor relationships and collaborate with internal teams, donors, and volunteers to achieve program goals. Present analysis and recommendations to the Caribbean Trustees. Direct a portfolio of 40–75 prospects and donors with capacity to give over $750,000, including select Trustee relationships; collaborate with relationship managers across the TNC network. Travel frequently, domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice; long hours and weekend work or travel may be required. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience, including senior-level experience. Experience asking for and closing major gifts. Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents such as major donors, foundations, and corporations. Experience planning and delivering budgetary responsibilities. Experience leading projects within a multidisciplinary team. Experience working in a large, complex, not-for-profit environment. Experience, coursework, or training in relevant field principles, practices, and procedures. Salary Information The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within $147,645 – $187,560. This range applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Pay may vary based on location, qualifications, skills, and experience. Countries outside the USA may have a different pay range in local currency.
