VB Spine . Location : Allendale, NJ or Leesburg, VA. Candidates will be onsite 3 days a week minimum for a hybrid work environment in either Allendale, NJ or Leesburg, VA. What You’ll Do
Interface with surgeons to gather input for design and evaluation of new products. Utilize knowledge of surgical procedures to develop innovative solutions that satisfy customer needs. Under minimal supervision, work with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success. Under minimal supervision, design, develop, modify, evaluate and verify mechanical components for medical devices. Process and assimilate procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required. Participate in and lead, as applicable, design reviews. Work on complex problems, applying advancing experience and learnings. Demonstrate ownership and prioritize work with minimal supervision. Collaborate with team members to solidify relationships and achieve project goals. Demonstrate advanced understanding of customer needs and design inputs. Demonstrate proficiency with product’s intended use and clinical procedures. Learn how financial models are constructed. Follow fundamental industry standards, design requirements and test strategies that apply to regulatory requirements. Independently create or refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History File. Follow R&D procedures like design controls and risk management per the Quality Management System. Translate design inputs to engineering specifications and produce subsystem designs. Develop and analyze solutions, prototyping options to provide proof of concept. Apply fundamental and advanced concepts for problem solving. Adhere to safety and ergonomic requirements; reasonable accommodations available as needed. What You Bring
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical) or Master’s in related discipline. 2+ years of work experience. Working knowledge of mechanical engineering practices and design principles. Ability to create engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools. Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes as they apply to product design. Good technical communication skills to convey plans and technical information. Moderate experience with a parametric CAD package (Creo, SolidWorks, or Pro/E). Ability to work with a moderate level of supervision and provide input on projects. Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with consideration of territory requirements, qualifications, and performance. Typical pay range is $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis. Benefits Include
