Location: USA VA Chantilly Clearance: Top Secret SCI + Polygraph (required to currently possess and able to obtain) Employment type: Regular, Full-time Telecommuting: Onsite Travel: None Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated engineers with a thirst for learning, in support of geographically dispersed, state of the art systems that seamlessly integrate Microsoft services. Candidates with proven depth creating solutions for Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems will be positioned for success in our organization. The selected candidate will design, build, deploy, and administer large scale multi-domain enterprise Windows environments. The engineer will build and maintain Windows desktops for use on virtual and physical client hardware. The engineer will provide support to multiple globally dispersed WAN connected sites. Engineers will be responsible for supporting their solutions throughout the IT project lifecycle, to include refining requirements, creating design documentation, creating installation instructions and deployment plans, as well as providing O&M support. Project assignments will vary based on skill level, and may include engineering geographically dispersed services, integrating services into public, private and hybrid cloud environments. Engineering solutions to be deployed via automated CM tools and hardening the solutions to address security and SCAP compliance. Responsibilities
Designs and defines system architecture for Windows desktop solutions and client based applications Supports the integration of the Windows desktop with a variety of enterprise services Evaluates desktop software and hardware technologies and determines the most efficient method to leverage the technology within the customer’s network environment Administer, operate, manage and maintain components for Windows desktop deployments to include virtual and thick client environments Reviews completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management and/or clients Plans and directs upgrades of Windows desktop operating system version(s) and supporting infrastructure and related components Required Skills
CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification Active TS/SCI and CI Polygraph MECM / MCM packages experience as well as vast knowledge in OSD (O/S Deployment), MDT (Microsoft deployment toolkit) and Intune Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop design engineering and implementation options Experience with Microsoft deployment tools to include Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Experience with engineering and deploying client software installation packages for Microsoft Windows desktops (physical and virtual) Experience with Application Virtualization to include Citrix XenApp, Citrix App Layering, Microsoft APPV, and MSIX App Attach Experience with maintaining Windows desktop systems for mobile users on laptop hardware Experience with anti-virus and malware product integration within a Windows desktop configuration and remediation Desired Skills
Experience with managing Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Management, DFS, DNS, DHCP, and VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Experience with Microsoft Azure and Office 365 Experience with Windows Server 2016 and 2019 Experience with Microsoft Windows automation scripting with PowerShell or other scripting languages Experience with managing and updating work tasks using ServiceNow Experience with maintaining system security compliancy following DISA STIGs GDIT Is Your Place
