Growing company in Chicago near O'Hare Airport is seeking an EHS Specialist to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have previous EHS experience in manufacturing. Liquid processing in the beverage, chemical or petrochemical industries preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulatory standards is required. Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or similar desired. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Location: Des Plaines, Illinois Job type: Permanent Salary: $80,000 - $95,000 per year Work hours: 8am to 4pm Education: Bachelor\'s Responsibilities
Serve as the EHS Specialist for the facility, collaborating with teams in maintenance and operations regarding safety and regulatory compliance. Enhance safety leadership by defining responsibilities and fostering communication. Provide regional EHS leadership by developing, implementing, and overseeing the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs. Train employees and site leadership and manage all aspects of hazardous materials. Ensure adherence to OSHA and relevant regulatory requirements while regularly providing reports on EHS performance metrics to monitor compliance and track progress. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health or similar preferred. At least 3 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other regulatory standards required. Certification in EHS preferred. Knowledge of liquid processing systems including pressurized lines and pumps required. Benefits
