Overview The instructor works independently to teach assigned course(s) using course materials provided by the supervisor and must submit grades according to the grading schedules set by the University. The instructor must communicate with students in a multitude of formats. The instructor duties may also include interaction with university partners (e.g., Industry partners, Registrar, Dean of Students, Office of Disability Services) and scheduling of weekly student support (office) hours.

Responsibilities Instructors may be responsible for teaching courses offered by Douglass Residential College at any credit threshold. Courses will be offered in a range of modalities beyond traditional settings, including hybrid and online formats. Course appointments are in the New Brunswick area, as well as hybrid/online format. Instructors may be teaching with a predetermined syllabus or, when appropriate, with their supervisor's approval may update a course accordingly. Non-instructional coad appointments have duties by arrangement with the hiring manager and may include student support, event support, data analytics, program assessments, and others.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience

Master's degree in area related to specific course of interest

Proficiency or ability to learn use of the Learning Management System, Canvas

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The instructor must have exposure or experience in feminist pedagogy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to lift small boxes, move small items, and move tables and chairs.
