Overview
Pediatric Emergency Department, Open Rank Faculty — The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for three tenure-ineligible positions to serve as an Assistant/Associate or Professor of Pediatric Emergency Medicine within the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. These positions will focus on clinical operations but will include protected time to support scholarly pursuits based on a prior sustained record of achievement. This position carries a faculty appointment in the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Responsibilities
As faculty in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, members will work to establish and shape the new division, contribute to clinical operations, and engage in scholarly activities supported by protected time. Opportunities exist for clinician, educator, researcher, and leadership roles, including participation on committees, boards, panels, and other duties beyond clinical operations. Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO and board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Applicants with a background in pediatrics and emergency medicine will also be considered. Applicants should have a record of excellence in clinical care, education, and/or research, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Application Contact and Process
