The Department of Economics and Business at Colorado College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Economics and Business with specialization in macroeconomics, to begin Fall 2026. The department offers four undergraduate degrees including Economics; International Political Economy; Mathematical Economics; and Business, Economics, and Society. We engage students with immersive pedagogy via field trips, community-engaged work, and intensive group projects. Responsibilities
Teach five courses annually, with advising of students’ senior theses (counts as a sixth course). Maintain an active research program and engage in college service. Qualifications
A PhD in Economics or related fields (ABD candidates will also be considered). Excellent teaching promise. Ability to teach international finance, money and banking, principles of macroeconomics, and intermediate macroeconomic theory. An active research agenda aiming for peer-reviewed publications commensurate with selective liberal arts institutions. Interest in contributing to the College’s General Education program.
