Overview
Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance — Tenure-Track position in the Department of Theatre and Dance at Colorado College. Specialization in Playwriting and Performance. Begin in August 2026.
Responsibilities
Teach courses in playwriting, mentor theatre/dance majors, and teach in the college's First-Year Program.
Contribute to the department's curriculum in additional areas of artistic study (e.g., dramatic literature, acting, and/or directing productions with students).
Engage in arts advocacy/program building and develop collaborative relationships with students and colleagues across disciplines.
Qualifications
Minimum: MFA and/or Ph.D. in playwriting, creative writing, or related field.
Preferred: Significant professional theater experience; college-level teaching; commitment to undergraduate teaching; and commitment to equitable and inclusive teaching and artistic practices.
