We are seeking compassionate and dedicated
Youth Development Counselors
to work in our Residential Programs. This role involves providing a caring, personal approach to meet youths' basic needs while ensuring their physical and emotional safety. Job Details

Youth Development Counselor Reports to:
Facility Director, Rose House Close to Home Non Secure Placement Location:
280 Shepherd Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11208 Hours:
40 Hours/Week; Full-time, onsite; Day, Evening, and/or Overnight Shifts; Some weekends required Salary Range:
$20-$22 per hour Responsibilities
Supervise residents and monitor their whereabouts at all times. Manage resident behavior and maintain order. Implement daily routines, schedules, and procedures. Ensure resident safety and maintain security and cleanliness. Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate court-ordered visits and family interactions. Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports. Participate in planning and executing educational, recreational, and enrichment activities. Manage supplies and equipment responsibly. Attend meetings, trainings, and conferences. Communicate effectively with staff regarding residents and program needs. Provide safe transportation for court appointments. Complete mandatory training and adhere to regulations. Apply Sanctuary Model tools and principles to foster a trauma-sensitive environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. Valid New York State driver’s license required. Ability to complete physical intervention training and pass a physical ability test. Capability to perform physical restraint and exert physical effort as necessary. Commitment to youth development and trauma-informed practices. Additional Qualifications
Must complete state-mandated crisis intervention training within two months of hire. Equal Opportunity Employment
