Position Overview Northern Arizona University (NAU) is seeking a highly motivated faculty member to join our Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at the Phoenix Bioscience Core campus. This is a full-time, 12-month, tenure-track position located in our hybrid program, emphasizing innovative, competency-based education designed to meet evolving healthcare needs.

Responsibilities

Design, deliver, and assess evidence-based courses within a Competency and Entrustment-Based Education framework.

Participate in program assessment, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement.

Engage in university and professional service, including committee participation.

Develop a scholarly agenda and stay current with professional advancements.

Support the mission and vision of NAU and the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training.

Minimum Qualifications

Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arizona.

Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) from an accredited institution in a related field.

At least three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice experience.

Contemporary expertise reflecting current physical therapy practice and healthcare systems.

Defined area of scholarship.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with competency-based education models.

Research or scholarly activities aligned with physical therapy practice.
