The DPT program is housed within the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training in the College of Health and Human Services. It emphasizes innovative, competency-based education to prepare students for modern healthcare challenges. Responsibilities
Design, deliver, and assess evidence-based courses within a competency and entrustment framework. Participate in program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement activities. Engage in service at the program, department, college, and university levels. Develop and pursue a scholarly agenda. Stay current with professional advancements and incorporate them into teaching and scholarship. Support the mission and vision of NAU and the Department of Physical Therapy. Minimum Qualifications
For Assistant Professor: Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Arizona. Doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) from an accredited institution in a related field. Minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice. For Associate Professor: Same licensure and degree requirements as above. Minimum of five years of full-time academic experience within physical therapy.
