Job Summary

The School of Public Health at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Professor / Associate Professor (12-MO), Tenure-Track. The successful candidate will:

Have a primary appointment in the Department of Community Health Sciences or Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Contribute to building and maintaining a collegial community of scholars and educators aligned with our school's values and commitment to health equity and social justice. Contribute to supporting the growth of both the School of Public Health and the Translational Program of Health disparities Research Training (TRANSPORT), a research endowment grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Support the professional growth of students, postdoctoral trainees, and early-stage faculty, including leadership in the planning and implementation of programs to support the success of TRANSPORT trainees.

Required Qualifications

Terminal Degree in Public Health or related field. Clearly defined record of excellence in research and scholarship.

Preferred Qualifications

Commitment to health equity research, evidenced by scholarship, and funding history. Track record of successful mentorship of early-stage investigators.
