Overview
Mount Prospect Academy (MPA) is seeking a Trauma-Informed Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for our residential treatment programs for at-risk youth. The BCBA will work with the clinical team, direct support workers, families, and other staff members; flexibility is critical. Location: Campton, New Hampshire. Salary up to $75,000. Offering affordable temporary employee housing available in Campton and Pike, NH for those looking to relocate. Selected positions available. Reports To: Executive Director BCBA Certification (Required) MPA is a nonprofit alliance founded in 2003 focused on helping adolescents find a zest for life and succeed in the business of life. We offer mental health support services including home and community-based treatment, residential programs, group homes, and special education services throughout New England. Responsibilities
Function in a supervisory capacity and provide oversight to all areas of programming, including training of direct support professionals, DSP trainers, and related staff. Develop, facilitate, and follow up training in Applied Behavior Analysis, using discrete trial training and natural environment teaching models. Identify resources and support information for the team, clients, and families; provide model teaching and direct instructional supports. Assist in development and implementation of assessment tools, conduct functional behavioral assessments and analyses, and develop behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behaviors. Provide ongoing training and supervision to direct support professionals, ABA implementers, and other support roles; ensure documentation in Behavior Support Plans. Provide ongoing data collection, analyze data to guide programming, and create baseline measures and program efficacy. Develop behavior/treatment plans focusing on antecedent strategies to reduce problematic behaviors; review and sign off on plans and provide field supervision when necessary. Use the electronic health records system (KCare) to enter session notes within 72 hours of each session. Maintain communication with families, supports, and agencies; stay current with literature and complete continuing education to maintain BCBA certification. Maintain data, paperwork, and communications between staff and families; provide feedback to funding and contracting agencies as required. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements
Master’s degree in Special Education or related human services field. BCBA certification for a minimum of 2 years (prior approval by Executive Director may be granted). Internship or formal training in behavior analysis and instructional strategies for working with clients with developmental disorders and related agencies. Competence in behavior management, instructional skills, communication, organization, and interpersonal relations. Ability to work with a variety of clients by age and functioning level, with minimal direction. Other/Requirements
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to use office equipment; responsive to phone, text, and email. Flexible availability (minimum Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm).
