Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Bench Scientist. Position type: Full Time Contract Duration: 12 months Contract Location: Andover, MA Position Summary
As a Bench Scientist, you will: Develop proteomics workflows using advanced high-resolution mass spectrometry techniques. Develop and optimize sample preparation methods from cell lines and other matrices for mass spectrometry analysis and data processing with various bioinformatics tools. Collaborate with colleagues and document all activities in an electronic lab notebook (ELN). Demonstrate expertise in LC-MS based proteomics. Experience with cell culture and cell manipulation is a plus. Position Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of proteomics workflows to develop and implement optimal strategies for the preparation and analysis of cellular samples. Collaborate with team experts to advance innovative proteomics strategies. Utilize different bioinformatics tools for data analysis and interpretation. Maintain consistent record keeping using an electronic lab notebook (ELN). Education and Experience
M.Sc 5 years, PhD 0 years in a relevant scientific field with documented experience in proteomics and mass spectrometry. Technical Skills Requirements
Required:
Advanced knowledge and documented expertise with mass-spectrometry based proteomics approaches: label- or label-free quantification (TMT or DIA). Experience with high-resolution mass-spectrometry instruments (e.g., Orbitraps, timsTOF). Experience with sample preparation based on enrichment (incl. affinity purification) and universal protein extraction. Bioinformatics skills relevant for mass-spec data search, statistical analysis and visualization. Preferable:
Experience with membrane protein analysis and/or cell surface proteomics. Knowledge of cell culture techniques and experience conducting cell-based assays. Application Information
