Environmental Project Manager - Contractor
Join National Inspection Services as an Environmental Project Manager - Contractor. This is a contractor position, not a salaried employee role. Compensation is negotiable, with an expected annual compensation of $65,000-$85,000. The successful candidate will have experience in environmental due diligence and industrial hygiene, with a focus on asbestos, lead, and mold inspections and abatement oversight. Environmental Due Diligence: Phase I/II environmental site assessments Industrial Hygiene: asbestos, lead, and mold inspections and abatement oversight Preferred Certified Asbestos Building Inspector with an understanding of AHERA and CO Regulation #8 Project Management Key responsibilities will include conducting environmental site investigations and assessments, identifying and evaluating environmental risks, and recommending remedial strategies to comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct environmental site investigations and assessments related to soil, groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air contamination Identify and evaluate environmental risks and recommend remedial strategies to comply with federal, state, and local regulations Construction oversight for environmental hazards Conduct tank removal and closure assessments Attend local marketing events on behalf of NIS The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years' related experience. A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field is preferred, with 8-10 years' related experience. High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years' related experience Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field and 8-10 years' related experience is preferred A basic understanding of or experience with Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) regulations and database systems Colorado Department of Health and Environment (CDPHE) RCRA Division and CDPHE Voluntary Cleanup Program sites, Division of Oil and Public Safety (OPS) Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history Reliable transportation National Inspection Services offers a flexible work environment, with the ability to set your own schedule.
