Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery (Clinician Educator) at CHLA / USC Keck School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA. The Division of Neurosurgery, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of USC are seeking a full-time faculty member with clinical expertise in general pediatric neurosurgical conditions and an interest in treating hydrocephalus. Academic appointment through USC Keck School of Medicine is available at a level appropriate to training and experience. The annual base salary range for this position is $580,000-$862,000. USC considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, peer equity, and applicable laws and contractual considerations when extending offers. Responsibilities
The division maintains four full-time pediatric neurosurgery faculty performing 600-700 operative cases per year for a broad range of neurosurgical conditions. Education of the next generation of pediatric neurosurgeons is an important component of the mission. The division hosts 2-3 rotating neurosurgery residents and has an accredited pediatric neurosurgical fellowship. A full complement of Advanced Practice Providers supports both inpatient and outpatient care. The integrated Neurological Institute at CHLA serves children from newborns to young adults, offering comprehensive outpatient services in a patient-centered environment. Qualifications
Required: Board eligibility or certification in pediatric neurological surgery. Candidates should have strong clinical, research, and leadership experience in a children’s hospital and/or academic pediatric department affiliated with a university medical school.
