Job Description
The Department of Health Informatics Institute at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine, USF Diabetes and Endocrinology Center is seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine Endocrinologist for a full-time faculty position. All candidates must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license. The salary is negotiable. USF DDE is supported by the USF Health Informatics Institute in research and publications. Currently, USF DEC is ranked #18 in the USA by US News.
Responsibilities
Provide outstanding clinical care and contribute to the expansion of center services and research, especially in pituitary and other endocrine disorders.
Care for outpatient and inpatient patients.
Participate in faculty call schedules.
Teach endocrine fellowship students and other trainees.
Engage in professional development and other assigned duties.
Thyroid biopsy skills are preferred.
Report to a Chair or appropriate administrator; involved in teaching, research, service, and administrative activities; provide academic advising; represent the university on committees.
Qualifications
Medical degree from an accredited institution with achievement in teaching, research, and service. Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
BC/BE in Internal Medicine Endocrinology. Must have or be eligible for an unrestricted Florida medical license.
Must obtain and maintain a full, unrestricted Florida Medical License, credentials in the USF faculty practice, and hospital privileges.
