The adjunct Robotics Instructor will be responsible for setting up and delivering hands-on robotics maintenance training classes. Classes are typically held in the evenings but may also be scheduled during business hours. Responsibilities
Teach robotics classes, including lectures and labs. Assist in developing class syllabi, outlines, lectures, and labs for robotics courses. Minimum Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in an industrial setting as an electrical, mechanical, or mechatronics maintenance technician, manager, or field service engineer, with extensive experience in maintenance, setup, and programming of industrial robots. Knowledge of computer applications and proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching robotics at a college, career center, or training program. Extensive experience with installation, programming, and maintenance of industrial robots like Motoman, Fanuc, Yaskawa, or Kuka. Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Robotics from an accredited institution. Desired Competencies
Attention to detail in monitoring and organizing work. Adaptability to change quickly. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Details
Position varies by semester. Compensation ranges from $30 to $40 per hour for instruction. This is a part-time, non-exempt position, not exceeding 29 hours per week. The contractual affiliation is with NIA. Equal Opportunity Statement
