Our students learn from an internationally recognised team of academics and our research explores complex global issues, including topics related to Defence and Australia’s national security. These new teaching and research positions support the development, delivery and marking of the new suite of asynchronous courses and involve sharing deep knowledge in a humanities discipline relevant to the study of warfare.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development, delivery and assessment of asynchronous courses within the School of Humanities & Social Sciences. Share deep knowledge in a humanities discipline relevant to the study of warfare.
Who You Are (Skills and Experience)
A PhD (or close to completion) in a humanities discipline relevant to the study of warfare. This may include, but is not limited to, history, strategic studies, security studies, politics, and area studies. Preference for the ability to teach at undergraduate or postgraduate level in courses such as Australian Military History, Military Ethics, or Theory and Application of Land Power. A track record (or advanced plans for) teaching and researching in areas related to warfare, and/or relevant work experience in this area. Proven commitment to proactively keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
