A leading owner and operator backed by a major infrastructure investment firm is seeking a Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting to join its growing finance team. This organization is a top-tier developer, owner, and operator of utility scale assets across the US, with a multi-gigawatt portfolio of operating projects and a strong development pipeline. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the energy transition while gaining exposure to complex technical accounting, full-cycle financial reporting, and strategic finance initiatives. The Associate will report to the Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting and collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and operations teams. Key Responsibilities

Prepare accounting entries and documentation for derivative instruments, renewable energy credits, and consolidation activities. Assist in the preparation of consolidated and project-level financial statements, including footnotes, in compliance with SEC and US GAAP standards. Support technical accounting processes related to debt, hedging, and M&A transactions. Perform general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations, particularly for newly developed projects. Prepare regulatory compliance certificates and ensure timely submission. Contribute to special projects such as acquisitions, divestitures, and system/process improvements. Maintain and update accounting policy documentation in response to new standards or operational changes. Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly close processes. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to support reporting and compliance efforts. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's degree preferred. CPA (or equivalent) required. 3-5 years of relevant experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or financial reporting. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and SEC reporting standards. Experience with ERP and reporting tools such as Microsoft Dynamics, Workiva, or OneStream is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
