Research Operations Coordinator position at Augusta University, specifically supporting the Georgia Cancer Center (GCC) Biorepository and related BRAG-Onc and regulatory activities. ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGEMENT: Supervise biorepository personnel; orient staff in acquiring, registering, de-identifying, storing, tracking, and redistributing biospecimens to faculty investigators; liaise with other laboratories and core facilities to ensure compliant, safe biorepository operations. Coordinate specimen request applications to external networks and communicate with partner sites. DATABASE COLLECTION: Oversee collection of clinical information and entry into databases; maintain patient confidentiality; support implementation of informatics resources and software interfaces. IRBNET-STUDY COORDINATOR: Manage IRB issues for specified studies, submit renewals/additions, and maintain regulatory binders. BRAG-ONC PROCESS CONTROL: Interface with BRAG-Onc sites to assist with process control, consent, procurement, and shipment of samples to the central repository. SPECIMEN TRACKING: Ensure donor consents accompany all distributed specimens; update trial and biorepository binders; scan and file consents and pathology reports; manage invoicing for specimen distribution and related imaging/scanning services. OTHER DUTIES: Maintain GCC Biorepository equipment (e.g., transport needs) and assist staff as needed. Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with experience in research. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and critical thinking abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software/databases. Shift/Salary/Benefits
Pay Band: B10 Salary Minimum: $52,500 - $58,146; salary to be commensurate with qualifications within the established range. Recruitment Period: 12/6/24 - Until Filled Benefits for full-time employees include health and other insurance options, retirement plans, paid time off, holidays, and potential Tuition Assistance after 6 months of employment.
