About the Agency The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services has a position available within the Division of Finance, located at the State Office. MDCPS is committed to protecting and nurturing Mississippi's at-risk children and families. MDCPS offers a variety of positions statewide, including social work positions providing case management services and working with potential foster families, supervisor positions providing clinical and administrative support, and agency support positions such as policy development, human resources, information technology, program management, training, and budgeting/finance. Responsibilities

Assist the budgets and accounting division with a variety of tasks and duties.

Set up shopping carts and purchase orders, process and track invoice payments, and maintain important financial documentation.

Assist field and office staff with duties pertaining to the accounting area.

Collaborate with other divisions to complete tasks.

What you’ll need to be Successful

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software.

Demonstrate integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to adapt quickly, maintain confidentiality, and be courteous.

Ability to maintain digital and paper documentation and tracking.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and track multiple invoices, payments, transactions, and other tasks as needed.

Ability to pull documentation and assist during reporting and auditing.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 3-5 years of experience.
